This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the CreatorLink mobile application and related services (the "Service"), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.

For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), HLB VENTURES LLC is the data controller of your personal information.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide to us

Account and profile information. When you register we collect your email address, username, display name, and date of birth (used to verify you meet our minimum age requirement and for age-appropriate features). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider. Depending on your account type, you may also add a bio, profile and header photos, a website URL, a contact email, and links to your social media accounts (such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube), including follower counts.

Creator and brand details. Creators may provide their content niche, main platform, audience size range, media kit files, and pricing information such as rate cards, packages, and usage-rights notes. Brands may provide their industry, budget ranges, target niches, and payment preferences. Pricing and rate information you add to your profile may be visible to other users as part of the Service's matchmaking and booking features.

Content you create. Posts, stories, drops, comments, likes, reactions, bookmarks, campaign applications, collaboration and deal records (including agreed rates, deliverables, and deadlines), and any photos, videos, voice messages, or files you upload.

Direct messages. Messages you send and receive, including text, media attachments, shared posts, and deal cards. Messages are encrypted at rest on our servers, but they are not end-to-end encrypted — CreatorLink is technically able to access message content, and may do so where necessary to operate the Service, investigate reports of abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, or comply with legal obligations.

Communications. Reports you submit about other users or content, and messages you send to us.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

Usage and interaction data. We record activity on the Service such as follows, likes, comments, profile views (including which account viewed which profile), story and drop views, campaign applications, and deal activity. Some of this powers user-facing features — for example, creators can see who viewed their stories, and profile-view counts appear in analytics.

Reputation metrics. We compute a "CreatorScore" for creator accounts from signals such as deal follow-through, response rate and speed, account age, verified social links, and moderation history. See our Terms of Service for more about CreatorScore.

Device and technical data. Push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging), device type and operating system information, IP addresses, and log data generated when your device communicates with our servers.

Advertising data. The Service displays ads served by Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK may collect device identifiers, coarse location inferred from IP address, and app interaction data to serve and measure ads, and the app declares SKAdNetwork identifiers used by Apple's privacy-preserving ad attribution framework. See Section 5 (Advertising).

1.3 Information we do not collect

We do not collect your precise device location (GPS). If you tag a place on a post, that is a text-based place search, not your device's position. We do not collect government IDs, and we do not process payment card numbers — subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple (see Section 4.4).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and personalize the Service, including matching creators with relevant brand campaigns;
  • Create and display your profile to other users according to your account type and privacy settings;
  • Deliver messages, notifications, and transactional emails (such as verification and password-reset codes);
  • Compute analytics and reputation features such as engagement statistics and CreatorScore;
  • Display and measure advertising and process premium subscriptions;
  • Moderate content and keep the Service safe, including automated text screening, malware scanning of uploads, URL safety checks, and review of user reports;
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and community standards;
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests;
  • Debug, secure, and improve the Service.

Legal bases (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we process your personal information on these bases:

Purpose Legal basis
Providing the Service you signed up for (accounts, profiles, content, messaging, subscriptions) Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Safety, moderation, fraud prevention, service analytics, reputation scoring Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — keeping the Service safe and functional
Personalized advertising, where consent is required by law Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time
Legal compliance and responding to lawful requests Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information as follows:

With other users. Your profile (including display name, username, photos, bio, social links, niche or industry details, and any pricing you publish), your public content, and your interactions (likes, comments, follows) are visible to other users per the Service's design and your settings. Deal records are shared with the other party to the deal. Story authors can see who viewed their stories.

With service providers (processors). We use third parties to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf under contractual restrictions:

Provider Purpose
Google Firebase Authentication and push notifications
Amazon Web Services (S3/CloudFront) Media storage and delivery
MongoDB Atlas Database hosting
OpenAI Automated text moderation (content you post or send may be screened)
Google Safe Browsing Checking links for malware/phishing
Resend Transactional email delivery
Redis/queue infrastructure Caching and background processing

With advertising partners. Google AdMob serves ads in the app and acts as an independent controller of certain data it collects. See Section 5.

With Apple and Google. If you subscribe to CreatorLink Premium, Apple processes the payment and shares subscription-status information with us. Sign-in providers (Apple, Google) process your login per their own policies.

For legal reasons. We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of CreatorLink, our users, or the public.

Business transfers. If HLB VENTURES LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

4. Specific Features

4.1 Direct messages

Messages are stored encrypted at rest. They are not end-to-end encrypted; see Section 1.1.

4.2 Content moderation

Text you post or send may be automatically screened by moderation systems (including OpenAI's moderation service), uploaded files are scanned for malware, and links are checked against Google Safe Browsing. Content reported by users is reviewed by our team and may be removed.

4.3 Deals between brands and creators

Deal cards record terms the parties agreed to (rate, deliverables, deadlines) for informational purposes. CreatorLink does not process, hold, or transfer payments between users. Any payment happens outside the Service, directly between the parties.

4.4 Premium subscription

CreatorLink Premium is billed through your Apple App Store account. Apple processes the payment; we receive purchase verification data (not your card details) to activate premium features.

5. Advertising

The Service shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use device information and identifiers to serve, personalize (where permitted), and measure ads. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

App Tracking Transparency. The app asks for your permission before accessing Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking. If you decline, you will still see the same number of ads; they simply will not be personalized using that identifier.

Your controls:

  • The app asks for tracking permission on first launch. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and manage Apple advertising settings under Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
  • Where the app presents a consent prompt (e.g., in the EEA/UK), you can decline personalized ads and will receive non-personalized ads instead. You can reopen that prompt and change your choice at any time from Settings → Ad Privacy Settings inside the app.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed for the purposes above.

Account deletion. You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing support@creatorlink.app. When you delete your account:

  • Your login credentials are permanently deleted and you can no longer sign in;
  • Your account is deactivated and your profile is no longer visible;
  • Your posts and comments are removed from the Service;
  • Your follower/following relationships are deleted.

Some information may be retained after deletion for a limited period where we have a legitimate need or legal obligation — for example, records needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcing our terms, or complying with law. Messages you sent to other users may remain visible to those users. Backup copies may persist for a limited time before being cycled out.

If you would like us to erase specific personal information beyond in-app deletion, contact us at support@creatorlink.app and we will honor requests as required by applicable law.

7. Your Rights

7.1 All users

You can access and update most profile information in the app, control who can message or comment via privacy settings, disable push notification categories, block users, and delete your account.

7.2 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR)

You have the right to: access your personal data; rectify inaccurate data; erase your data; restrict or object to processing (including processing based on legitimate interests); data portability; and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise these rights, email support@creatorlink.app. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7.3 California and other US states

Depending on your state (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and similar laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others), you may have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; access and receive a copy of your personal information; correct inaccurate information; delete your personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell personal information for money. The use of advertising SDKs may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA; you can opt out of personalized advertising using the controls in Section 5 or by contacting us at support@creatorlink.app with the subject "Do Not Share My Personal Information."

We will verify requests using your account email. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law.

7.4 Other regions

We honor applicable data-protection rights in other jurisdictions (including Canada's PIPEDA, Brazil's LGPD, and Australia's Privacy Act). Contact us to exercise them.

8. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States and process data on servers located in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where GDPR applies to a transfer, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, our providers' participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the higher minimum age required for consent in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in certain EEA countries). We collect date of birth at registration to enforce this. If you believe a child under the applicable minimum age has created an account, contact us at support@creatorlink.app and we will delete the account and associated information.

10. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption of messages at rest, access controls, malware scanning of uploads, and automated content-safety screening. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
